Consultations
You will discuss and agree what support you want in your first session, and review the progress and focus of your work together as you go along.
Confidentiality
Information you disclose during sessions or in the pre-consultation forms is kept confidential. If there are serious concerns about your safety, or the safety of another person, normal confidentiality may be lifted. You will be asked to provide your GP’s contact details, whom Dr Sanniti may contact in these circumstances. Your name, contact details and appointment dates are kept on a password-protected database, and notes about the focus of your work are stored securely and password-protected. Any reports produced to evaluate the service use anonymised data only.
Working with multiple therapists
Dr Sanniti may suggest you see other registered therapists to support your goals. With your informed consent, information about your symptoms and condition may be shared between them so you receive a co-ordinated plan; you can tell us anything you wish to keep confidential.
Working online
It is your responsibility to have a working internet connection for online sessions. You will be charged for scheduled sessions if you are unable to connect.
Payments
Full payment is required at the time of booking, prior to your first appointment, by debit or credit card.
Programme timeframes
If booking a programme, the 12-week programme must be completed within 4 months of booking, and the 16-week programme within 6 months of booking.
Cancellations
We appreciate that circumstances can change — if you need to rearrange an appointment, please let us know at the earliest convenience. If you cancel your programme, for any reason, within 24 hours of your first appointment or afterwards, no refund will be given. Cancelling up to 24 hours before your first appointment will trigger a full refund.
Your statutory rights (online purchases). Where you book or buy online, you may have a 14-day cooling-off period under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. By booking an appointment within this period, or asking us to begin sooner, you agree the service may start during the cooling-off period; once it has begun you may be charged for services provided, and once fully performed the right to cancel is lost. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.
[Wording to be confirmed with your professional indemnity insurer / CNHC.]
Digital products & downloads
Any downloadable guides or resources are licensed to you for your own personal use; you may not resell or redistribute them. Because downloads are delivered instantly, by purchasing and downloading you agree the service begins immediately and you waive the 14-day cancellation right once the download has started. Refunds are given only where a file is faulty or not as described.
[Wording to be confirmed with your professional indemnity insurer.]
Clients under 18 years of age
We welcome consultations with clients under 18, but they must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, who provides consent on their behalf.
Supplements
Supplements may be recommended. A commission agreement may be in place between the supplier and the practitioner, a percentage of which is passed on to you as a discount. Some supplements may be available cheaper elsewhere, and you are welcome to source the exact product recommended from another supplier.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with any aspect of your care, please contact Dr Sanniti first at hello@annasanniti.com so we can put things right. You may also contact the CNHC, whose Code of Conduct governs standards of practice, at cnhc.org.uk.
Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything that cannot be excluded by law. Subject to that, nutritional therapy is provided to support your wellbeing and is not a substitute for medical care; you remain responsible for decisions about your health.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
The Nutritional Therapy descriptor
Nutritional Therapy is the application of nutrition science in the promotion of health, peak performance and individual care. Practitioners use a range of tools to assess and identify potential nutritional imbalances and understand how these may contribute to an individual’s symptoms and health concerns, and work with individuals to address nutritional balance and support the body towards maintaining health. It is recognised as a complementary medicine, relevant for people with chronic conditions and those seeking to enhance their health and wellbeing. Practitioners consider each person unique and recommend personalised programmes rather than a ‘one size fits all’ approach. They never recommend nutritional therapy as a replacement for medical advice and always refer any client with ‘red flag’ signs or symptoms to their medical professional, often working alongside them. The Nutritional Therapist requests that the Client notes the following:
The degree of benefit obtainable from Nutritional Therapy may vary between clients with similar health problems and following a similar Nutritional Therapy programme.
Nutritional advice will be tailored to support health conditions and/or health concerns identified and agreed between both parties.
Nutritional therapists are not permitted to diagnose, or claim to treat, medical conditions.
Nutritional advice is not a substitute for professional medical advice and/or treatment.
Your Nutritional Therapist may recommend food supplements and/or functional testing as part of your programme and may receive a commission on these products or services.
Standards of professional practice in Nutritional Therapy are governed by the CNHC Code of Conduct.
This document only covers the practice of Nutritional Therapy within this consultation, and your practitioner will make it clear if she intends to step outside this boundary.
The Client understands and agrees to the following:
I am responsible for contacting my GP about any health concerns.
I give permission for you to contact my GP regarding any agreed aspects of my case.
If I am receiving treatment from my GP or any other medical provider, I should tell them about any nutritional strategy provided, because of possible reactions between medication and the programme.
It is important that I tell my nutritional therapist about any medical diagnosis, medication, herbal medicine or food supplements I am taking, as this may affect the programme.
If I am unclear about the agreed programme, supplement doses or time period, I should contact my nutritional therapist promptly for clarification.
I must contact my nutritional therapist if I wish to continue any specified supplement programme beyond the originally agreed period, to avoid potential adverse reactions.
Recording consultations using any form of electronic media is not allowed without the written permission of both me and my Nutritional Therapist.
